I Wish for My Other Half to be Christian, Says Sammi Cheng

Influential Hong Kong Cantopop singer and actress Sammi Cheng Sau-man, who recently converted to Christianity and has experienced a 180 degree change, said that she wishes for her other half to share the same faith as her.

According to Sing Tao Hong Kong, Sammi appeared at a promotional event for her new film “Lady Cop & Papa Crook” in Shanghai on Dec. 29. Because her role in this film did not have good love relationships and they always end in disasters, she was asked whether she dislikes dating.

In response to this question, the 36-year-old diva said that she is not anxious about searching for her counterpart. Instead, it is her church friends who are anxiously introducing prospects to her.

Although there are potential prospects, Sammi said that she is afraid of being too intentional in searching for her counter-part, because she wants to depend on destiny. She wishes for her other half to share the same faith as her.
