The Pacers became the first team this season to clinched a playoff spot Wednesday night, but they have lost two games in a row.

The Pacers have lost 109-87 to Charlotte Bobcats on Wednesday. They are Heat's top contender for the Eastern Conference title.

The Pacers have yielded 97.9 points per game on average in the last 21 games.

Meanwhile, the Rockets have won their last nine games against teams from the East. They've also defeated the Miami Heat 106-103 on Tuesday. Then, Rockets continued that streak by defeating the Orlando Magic in a 101-89 victory.

James Harden scored 31 points and Dwight Howard had 19 points and 13 rebounds.

In the last matchup with Pacers, the Rockets lost by 33 points on Dec. 20.

"The game in Indiana, we didn't play our brand of basketball," said Howard, according to NBA.com. "They were a lot better team than we were earlier in the season. We understand the game as a team a little bit better. I think it is going to be a different game and we are looking forward to that matchup."

Evan Turner, who was recently acquired by Pacers, scored 22 points on 9-of-12 shots in the game against Bobcats. Meanwhile, Rockets' Terrence Jones had his third straight double-double with 17 points and 11 rebounds and shooting at 8 of 10.

Pacers vs. Rockets game will be televised nationally on ESPN and locally on Comcast SportsNet Houston (CSNH) and Fox Sports Indiana.
