All Generations of Chinese Christians will attend the last performance of the "Intergenerational Worship" for the year, conducted by the Chinese Christian Church Music Institute for Worship (CCCMIW) in California.

The purpose of the "Intergenerational Worship 2005: Together We Serve," is to unite the different generations of Christians, from traditional Mandarin to the American Born Chinese, "to be 'one' in worship and fellowship."

"We would like to once again remind the Christians that the center of our worship is God and God Himself," Herbert Tsang, a music director at CCCMIW said.

Some problems that the Institute addresses is the "growing chasm and friction" between Chinese and English congregations, who tend to separate their worship services. With CCCMIW's President Dr. Richard Lin, who is also the conductor, CCCMIW has composed a stylish rendition of music that appeals to the whole family.

The last performance entitled "The Portrait of the Wise" will also include "My Christmas Story," a Christmas celebration, on Dec. 4 at the Twin Towers United Methodist Church in Alameda, California.

Guest speakers include Rev. Johann Yuek-Hon Lai, an adjunct professor of Pastoral Theology at the Western Seminary in San Jose, and Rev. Samuel Tang, the co-founder of CCCMIW, who were chosen for their view that worship plays a very important role in the relationship between Christians and God.

The Intergenerational Worship hopes to unite the separated congregations once again through praise.

"What a witness it is when we see the whole family, including grandparents and grandchildren singing praise to the Lord together in Church," Tsang said.
