The Intergenerational Worship conducted by the Chinese Christian Church Music Institute for Worship (CCCMIW) in California hopes to unite different generations, crossing the boundaries of age.

The worship services on Oct. 2, Nov. 6, and Dec. 4 brought at least 150 people to listen to a stylish rendition of music conducted by the Rev. Richard Lin. CCCMIW described the performance "appealing to the whole family".

Amy Kong, the coordinator of CCCMIW said that the attendants generally responded to the music in all of the worship services held this year, and that it "led them to worship God."

The Intergenerational Worship was organized by the staff at CCCMIW who noticed that worship services were usually divided between the Chinese and English congregations. CCCMIW held these services in order to tell people that all generations can worship in one "whole family," Kong said.

Lin, who is also the president of CCCMIW, believes that worship music should be able to break all the borders between generations and ages. In a recent music workshop, according to Kong, God said in the Bible if people worship "in truth and spirit", the praise "will be accepted by God."

The next Intergenerational Worships will be held next year on Feb. 2, March 4, Apr. 1, May 6 in San Francisco, and will continue to unite all generations to worship God.
