iOS 8.2, 8.3, 8.4 Jailbreak Update for iPhone, iPad: Is iOS 9 Jailbreak Release Date Coming Soon?

Jailbreaking for iOS.
San Francisco-based security expert expects the Apple iOS 10.3.1 jailbreak will be released sometimes in June.

iOS 8.3 jailbreak reportedly appeared publicly at the Mobile Security Conference in Shanghai, China. The new jailbreak was developed by Chinese jailbreaking group, Pangu. This information was apparently confirmed by one of their team member Daniek_K4 via Chinese social media service Weibo. In the meantime, iOS 9 may prove to be the toughest Apple OS to crack thus far.

Pangu also stated that a new public iOS 8.3 jailbreak will be available shortly after iOS 8.4 is launched. At this time, only iOS 8.1.2 jailbreak has been publically released.

iOS 9 Rootless Security Feature Will Challenge Jailbreakers

Earlier, a number of Apple watchers predicted that iOS 9 may spell the end of jailbreak. This assessment was based on the widely touted Rootless security feature. The apparatus apparently blocks access to certain protected files, regardless whether the user enjoys administrative-level clearance.

Even so, veteran observers generally feel that it may be possible to crack iOS 9 despite the added security. However, jailbreaking the new operating system will require a time much longer than those of previous jailbreaks.

In fact, the jailbreak community experienced somewhat of a setback when Apple addressed security weaknesses in iOS 8.3. MuscleNerd tweeted that Apple fixed 39 security bugs, which rivaled previous updates.

iOS 9 recently debuted at the WWDC 2015 conference. The product was featured alongside iOS 9, OS X El Capitan, and WatchOS 2.

TaiG Jailbreak Functions without Root Privileges

Signs suggesting that iOS 9 security is not so invincible were explored in a joint article by Evasi0njailbreak and iCrackUriDevice. Apparently, TAIG's iOS 8.0 jailbreak does not need "root privileges to successfully complete jailbreak." This means that the jailbreak group can theoretically work around iOS 9's Rootless system.

Previously, TaiG had released a jailbreak update for iOS 8.1.2 OS. Though it promised to release iOS 8.2 Jailbreak, the update never arrived. The absence of jailbreak continued even after iOS 8.3 was released. Many in the rumor mill believe that TaiG has skipped onto iOS 8.4. Still, others think that iOS 8.3 jailbreak will be released sooner instead.

As of now, there is no word regarding when the world will be seeing the next public iOS jailbreak debut. Hypothetically, Apple may decide to overlook the existence of either iOS 8.3 or iOS 8.4 jailbreak. However, there is a greater possibility that Apple will patch up iOS 8.4, which is considered the last major update for iOS 8.0.
