iOS 8.3 and 8.2 Jailbreak Release Date; iOS 8.4 Update Coming in Summer

iOS 8.4 may launch this summer, while the iOS 8.3 and 8.2 jailbreak is still mission-in-action. Based on rumors, iOS 8.4 may debut this coming WWDC 2015. Apple has recently released the beta 3 version of iOS 8.4 to developers only.

Apple has already rolled out iOS 8.3 to its more recent devices including iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, iPhone 5, iPad Air 2, iPad Air, iPad Mini 2, and iPad 3. With iOS 8.3 roll out more or less completed, Apple has turned its attention over to the upcoming iOS 8.4.

Revamped Music App Comes with iOS 8.4 Beta 3

The third iOS 8.4 beta contains the redesigned music app, which is home to Apple's new Beats Music streaming service. Beta 3 also has a Mini player and revamped iTunes Radio. iOS 8.4 may be announced alongside iOS 9 and OSX 10.11 at WWDC 2015, according to 9to5Mac. Naturally, this prediction may or may not pan out when WWDC begins on June 8.

iOS 8.4 is also expected to address a number of bugs in Apple's previous iOS 8.3 operating system. According to Forbes, a number of users are still experiencing connectivity issues with Wi-Fi networks. Dubbed "Wifried" by users, the problem has plagued the previous iOS 8.2 as well. The iOS 8.3 was originally expected to fix the connection issue.

iOS 8.3, 8.2 Jailbreak Looking Less Likely

iDigitalTimes revealed that iOS 8.3 jailbreak may see a release date in the future, during an interview with veteran jailbreaker MuscleNerd. However, the publication was quick to point that many notable hackers have left the jailbreak community. It is unclear just how many individuals are working on the iOS 8.3 jailbreak.

MuscleNerd tweeted that Apple has fixed 39 security bugs. The jailbreak community rely on exploiting security flaws when jailbreaking an Apple device.

So far, only Pangu and TAIG have promised to publically release iOS 8.3 jailbreak. Even so, it remains to be see whether this plan will come to fruition. Both groups given similar promises for iOS 8.2 back in December.

Earlier in April, notorious jailbreaker Stefan Esser showed off his jailbroken iOS 8.4 OS beta 1 in a video posted on YouTube. Esser also ran Cydia on iOS 8.4 beta 1 as proof of his supposed achievement.

"I am delighted to share this video of a proof of concept iOS 8.4-beta 1 jailbreak that I was working," Esser wrote on April 19. "Of course this video will trigger haters."

Often going by the screen name iOn1c, Esser is a controversial figure within jailbreak circles due to his habit of teasing jailbreak achievements on social media. Naturally, he declined to publically share his more recent iOS 8.4 beta 1 jailbreak.
