Apple may reveal its latest iPhone via live stream, if the latest gossip is to be believed. So far, the general consensus is that the new iPhone will either be called the iPhone 6s or iPhone 7. The live stream for the Apple keynote is scheduled for Wednesday, September 9, 2015.

Besides the new iPhone, the Cupertino-based tech giant is rumored to be showing off the fabled iPad Mini 4 and Apple TV. Another popular gossip purports that the release dates for iOS 9 and watchOS 2 may be announced.

When and Were to Watch?

The roughly two-hour live stream will start at 11:00am PST. While the conference is invite-only, Apple is thankfully allowing this event to be viewed publically thru its official event page. Interested parties will need to have one of the follow requirements:

• An iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch running iOS 7 or later in Safari
• A Mac running OS X 10.8.5 or later in Safari

Happily, Windows users will have access to live stream for the first time ever. The only drawback is that Apple is limiting viewing to those who have Windows 10 with Microsoft Edge installed.

iPhone 6s May Not Be Released the Same Day

Diehard fans hoping to see the iPhone 6s being released the same day may be disappointed. Given Apple's past release record, it is unlikely that the iPhone 6s will be launched immediately.

The company usually hosts such events to feature new products before they are released on the market. Most likely, the release date may be hinted at during tomorrow's live stream event.

Will Force Touch Technology Be in the iPhone 6s?

One long-held rumor regarding the iPhone 6s is that the device might come with Force Touch technology.

In a nutshell, the feature allows the device to distinguish between harder and lighter taps. For instance, a user can speed up a video by applying slightly more pressure on the tap. Force Touch can also tell whether you're using your thumb or index finger.

First introduced in the 2015 Macbook lineup, this new feature is expected to be standard future device with future Apple devices.

Other Rumors for iPhone 7 (iPhone 6s)

MacRumors reported on a leak from Kevin King - director of IHS Technology Research for China. The tech observer claimed on Weibo that the next iPhone will feature a 12 megapixel camera. His prediction was echoed earlier by well-regarded KGI security analyst Ming-Chi Kuo.

King also stated that the device's increased megapixel will be negated by smaller pixels in the camera. Oddly, he referred to the fabled device as the iPhone 6S instead of the iPhone 7.

There have been some claims that iPhone 7 will have 21-megapixels. This assessment seems erroneous since Apple tend to favor cameras with less megapixels. Previous iPhone models featured 8-megapixel rear cameras.  Given Apple's track record and the recent testimony from two experts, the iPhone 7 may have a 12 megapixel rear camera instead.
