Joy, is an upcoming movie for 20th Century Fox set for release this Christmas that features guns, The Rolling Stones, drama and a person's strong determination to succeed.

20th Century Fox released a trailer of Joy on Thursday, giving audience a sneak peak of the movie.

The trailer opens with the voice of Joy saying, "Listen to me, I'll tell you what's going to come of you. You are going to grow up, and be a strong, smart young woman, go to school, meet a fine young man, have beautiful children of your own, and you're going to build wonderful things, and that is what is going to happen to you."

Those words were spoken by an older woman shown as a silhouette while she addresses a younger girl.

Joy is based on the true story of Joy Mangano who dreamt big at a time when women are not supposed to remain as house makers tending to the needs of the family. But Joy's grit and determination allowed her to overcome all the challenges and society's stereotype at that time.

Joy's struggle took her doing menial jobs until she changed her career and presented the world with her invention that eventually built her a business empire.

The movie will be officially released on December 25, 2015. It will star Jennifer Lawrence, Bradley Cooper, Robert DeNiro, Isabella Rossellini, Diane Ladd, Viginia Madsen and Edgar Ramirez. 'Joy' is directed by David O Russell based on a story he co-wrote with Annie Mumolo.

Lawrence and Bradley first appeared in the critically-acclaimed and box-office hit Silver Linings Playbook which earned the 24-year-old actress the Best Actress award in the 2013 Oscar Academy.

The duo again teamed up with David in American Hustle which received an Oscar nominations.

In 2014, J-Law and Bradley worked again in the Depression-era drama Serena.

In its web site, 20th Century Fox described Joy "the wild story of a family across four generations centered on the girl who becomes the woman who founds a business dynasty and becomes a matriarch in her own right. Betrayal, treachery, the loss of innocence and the scars of love, pave the road in this intense emotional and human comedy about becoming a true boss of family and enterprise facing a world of unforgiving commerce. Allies become adversaries and adversaries become allies, both inside and outside the family, as Joy's inner life and fierce imagination carry her through the storm she faces. Joy defies genre to tell a story of family, loyalty, and love.
