Jennifer Lawrence is being hailed one of the sexiest women alive thanks to her character Katniss Everdeen's widespread popularity from the Hunger Games franchise, but that doesn't stop the 25-year-old blond beauty from being awkward in public.

The Daily Mail reports that the elegant American Hustle actress took a disastrous tumble on the red carpet at the premiere of the Hunger Games: Mockingjay 2 in Madrid on Tuesday.

J. Law was right smack in the middle of her European tour with the rest of the Hunger Games castmates when she fell while climbing the Kinepolis Cinema in Spain, ostensibly tripping over the train of her black Ralph Lauren gown.

She was also adorably photographed raising a finger to Josh Hutcherson as if warning him to stay clear of her gown.

Hunger Games producer Nina Jacobson verified the incident on Twitter when she replied to a sympathetic fan about whether Lawrence was alright.

@everlark4evaaaa yes. She's used to it

This was not the only incident of pure awkwardness and clumsiness for the lovely Kentucky native. Entertainment Tonight reports that J.Law also stumbled while accepting her Academy Award for Best Actress in 2012. Another incident happened on the Oscar red carpet in 2014.

Lawrence's success seems to have been tempered by a few faux pas and a tongue-in-cheek statement that has backfired. The recent falls follow J. Law's efforts to quench rumours that she doesn't  wash her hands after using the bathroom.

The actress was forced to make this statement in a video: "Of course I wash my hands after going to the bathroom! (I can't believe I've put myself in a situation where I even have to say that.)"

She goes on to say "I hate talking to the internet, but I can't get asked another question about my hygiene on this press tour. Anyway with all the rumors I've ever heard about myself this is the one I really had to put to rest - Jen."

Questions on J. Law's hygiene surfaced when she appeared with Liam and Josh on MTV's After Hours show and was made to share her most disgusting habits. She made a humorous quip that got out of hand.

"I told MTV I don't wash my hands after going to the bathroom because I was trying to gross out Josh (Hutcherson) and Liam (Hemsworth) and I ended up grossing out the world," she said.
