Jeremy Lin Remains Committed to Raising the Bar in Playoffs Performance

By Joseph Leung

Houston Rockets Jeremy Lin and his teammates are pushing hard to make the sixth spot in the playoffs with a month left in the season.

Despite the “inconsistencies as a young team by winning some really good games and losing some bad games”, Lin wrote on his official website, they are in general “getting better."

The 24-year-old Chinese-American NBA star remains optimistic of his team's potentials and is committed to raising the bar of his performances on the court in his future games.

“One a personal level, I am working on playing at the highest level I can play at every night and have a long list of things to work on this summer,” said Lin.

As a dedicated evangelical Christian, Lin shared the Bible verses that he has been meditating on recently. It is from the book of Matthew 11:28-30:

“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”

A fan commented, “Im better person because of you…Im now officially a Christian…your story inspired me...Im now a strong person and religious one just like you.”

Moreover, Lin shared a picture of him with the students from his foundation’s Making a Difference project partner PAIR (Partnership for the Advancement and Immersion of Refugees), a Houston-based non-profit organization.

While the inaugural Making a Difference project has chosen three organizations PAIR, Workshop Houston and Yellowstone Academy, PAIR emerged as the winner.
