Most would think that new mom Jessa Duggar Seewald would flood her social media accounts with pictures of her own tiny tot. But this time followers of the 19 and Counting reality TV star were surprised when Jessa posted a picture not of her son but of disgraced brother Josh's youngest child - Meredith Grace, US Magazine reports.

Meredith is the fourth and last child in Josh and Anna Duggar's brood. The other children are Mackynzie, 6, Michael, 4, and Marcus, 2.

While parents Josh and Anna are not really in a position to make active updates on their social media accounts right now given the scandal that has pursued the couple for months, Aunt Jessa took it upon herself to give the under exposed baby equal time as all the other Duggar children.

Jessa's Instagram post attracted a lot of attention, by followers who both found the tiny baby girl adorable and intriguing given the current status of her parents. There are 567 comments as of press time. While many of the comments were supportive, others were abusive.

Instagram user onetadecker came to the defense of the Duggars when one poster gave a negative comment about Josh and his family:

"You know it's people like you spcy93 and iamashbreezy that make me sick. You two probably have done worse than Josh Duggar ever thought about doing. It's people like you that keep pouring salt in the wounds that are there. I know where these girls come from. I understand and every time one of you hateful people say something ugly like you do, it hurts the girls all over again... If you can't be nice then keep it to yourself. Just because you are miserable you don't have to make everyone else miserable."

Josh and his wife Anna have not been able to live it down ever since Josh's history on molesting 5 under aged girls came to light in May. More and more dirt were dug up about the Duggar's eldest son, and the scandals ultimately forced him to back out from his burgeoning political career in Washington.

However it seems that the 2015 scandals were not the first time that Josh's illicit sexual activities came to light.

The Inside Edition reports that as early as May 2007, a good 8 years before the scandals went viral, a woman who went to church with the Duggars tried to expose Josh's past and claimed that his parents Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar "lied and lied to protect him."
