jnX Anthony Chan's Single Album ''Wait'' to Release in Mandarin

After an entire year of lyric writing and recording, the album will hit the stores starting on September 1st.

jnX Music Worship Ministry founder and general director Anthony Chan will be releasing his single album "Wait…" in Mandarin. After an entire year of lyric writing and recording, the album will hit the stores starting on September 1st.

The Cantonese version of "Wait…" was released in 2003. The album is the continuation from Chan's first album "Love Journeys." "Love Journeys" was released in 1999 in Mandarin, Cantonese, and English versions. The rewriting and recording of the Mandarin version "Wait…" began since last year.

In an earlier interview, Chan revealed that the Mandarin version "Wait…" has the same tune as the Cantonese version, yet the lyrics were completely rewritten. The album captures his four years of experiences in the music ministry; it includes songs such as "Every Day Every Moment," "Dedicate My All," "Flowers in the Wind," "Never Let Go" and more.

"Wait…" was composed by the collaboration of Chan and famous Christian music producer and songwriter Peter Kam. On the album, Chan shared his reflection: "Between the end of 2002 and early 2003, God moved mightily in my heart and soul. A few topics kept circling around my heart and my mind, and there was a growing sense of urgency to share my testimony with other people. After much prayer, in January 2003, we finally made the decision to make the 'Wait...' CD project, with the recording session taking place in March in Hong Kong."

"Collaborating with Peter Kam was a wonderful experience. The experience stood out beyond description as a unique and amazing chapter in my thirty-some years of music ministry. Through the discussions about songwriting perspectives and the creative process of putting everything together, we relished a deep sense of 'being one in spirit.'"

"I hope that the songs that we crafted in the 'Wait...' CD project will bring you much inspiration, encouragement, and a deepening knowledge of God."
