The red carpet premiere of the James Bond movie Spectre was a dazzling night packed with A-Listers and royalty, led by the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, followed by a bearded Prince Harry.

The young royal couple, accompanied by the Bachelor of Windsor, was spotted being met by US producers Barbara Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson, as well as British director Sam Mendes.

Afterwards, the royal guests went on to meet with the stars of the show, who were lined up inside the Royal Albert Hall in London for the standard greetings given to the guests of honor. It was an opportunity to catch the glitzy and glamorous female stars dressed in their gala best. Monica Belucci looked very regal in a forest green velvet gown while Lea Seydoux was draped from head to toe in a metallic gold and pink gown showing a steep plunge at the back and draped at the waist with a bejeweled belt.

But despite the array of beautiful women out and about during the black-tie Bond event, it was Rachel Weisz, Daniel Craig's real-life Bond lady, who stole the show, The Daily Mail reports.

Just a brief glance at the guest list shows that Daniel Craig no doubt was the man of the hour and was honored by the guesting of illustrious personalities like Dame Shirley Bassey (who sang a few James Bond themes in the past) and former Bond girl Maryam D'abo. Still 007's first choice was obviously his wife. The husband and wife team also decidedly looked loved up, The Huffington Post reports.

While Weisz didn't get a chance to walk the carpet with her famous husband, she was able to meet the royals during the traditional line-up inside the hall. Craig made a big show about which Bond girl he preferred the best by planting a very public smooch on his wife's lips, much to the delight of the excited paparazzi.

With the unmitigated success of Spectre's first premier in London, it was ironic for Daniel Craig to admit that though he loved playing James Bond, he hated watching himself onscreen. However, that didn't stop him from wanting other people to watch him on the silver screen.

"It's just fantastic to see everybody out tonight. I'm not overwhelmed, I'm very excited and I can't wait for people to see the movie," he told reporters at the red carpet premier.

The movie starts at the Dia de Muertos festival in Mexico, where ghouls and skulls mark hinder the wild chase. The film is also said to be the longest one yet, covering at least two hours.

Spectre will be released worldwide on November 6.
