Katie Giguere Participating at CBA Convention in Atlanta

Katie Giguere (New Elkader Court Music) continues her on-going success with her debut album “Bringin' Me Hope” which released late last month. She will appear featuring some of her singles at the renown 2004 Christian Booksellers Association International Convention (CBA) in Atlanta today on June 26, 2004.

The awards ceremony, a free event sponsored by Christian Retailing magazine, will take place on Tuesday, June 29, at the Omni Hotel Grand Ballroom and will be open to all CBA convention attendees. Doors open at 7 p.m., and the ceremony will begin at 7:30 p.m.

In addition to Giguere, the event will feature appearances by Pat Willams, Senior Vice President of the Orlando Magic; legendary recording artist Smokey Robinson and acclaimed singer/songwriter Kelly Minter.

Giguere was recently hailed as one to watch by Christian Retailing, which stated in their June 22, 2004 issue, "[Bringin' Me Hope] immediately brings to mind such superstar performers as Jaci Velasquez, Mariah Carey and CeCe Winans."

Giguere is the premiere artist for Nashville-based indie label Elkader Court Music and has been turning heads in the Christian music community since her official debut at the 2004 Gospel Music Association (GMA) Week, where she performed alongside Cross Driven Records recording artists Margaret Becker and Kelly Minter, mainstream Americana artist Bill Miller and members of Salvador at the 6h Annual McCain & Co. Guitar Pull.

Giguere's first single, "Bringin' Me Hope," is currently playing on INSPO radio stations across the nation.
