Celebrity heroines Kim Kardashian West and Taylor Swift are on a warpath toward each other after the reality television star slammed the pop princess due to her reaction against Kanye West's song, "Famous." According to Kardashian, Swift is now playing the victim despite allowing Kanye to release the song.

The rift between Swift and the rapper began in 2009 after the latter interrupted the former's acceptance speech at the MTV Video Music Awards. Since then, the two have patched things up.

This time, however, there is a new issue between them and Kardashian has now joined in to defend her husband.

The new issue stems from the song "Famous" released by Kanye last year as part of his album "The Life of Pablo." The track immediately drew the ire of Swift after its release because one of its lines states "I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex. Why? I made that b**** famous."

According to Swift's camp, Kanye never asked her permission to release the song or include the controversial line in it.

"Kanye did not call for approval," the singer's representatives said in a statement according to Independent. "But to ask Taylor to release his single 'Famous' on her Twitter account. She declined and cautioned him about releasing a song with such a misogynistic message. Taylor was never made aware of the actual lyric, 'I made that b**** famous.'"

However, in a recent interview with GQ, Kanye's larger-than-life wife maintained that he and Taylor had a lengthy conversation about the song prior to its release. She even said that during the meeting, Kanye was with his camera crew to record everything for a possible future documentary.

"She totally approved that," Kardashian said. "She totally knew that that was coming out. She wanted to all of a sudden act like she didn't. I swear, my husband gets so much s*** for things [when] he really was doing proper protocol and even called to get it approved."

Kardashian then went on to say that Swift's camp has already sent a letter to Kanye telling him to destroy any video footage that shows the pop star giving the rapper her approval to release the song. Swift, on the other hand, has not yet issued a response to Kardashian's statements.
