When will DiRT Rally come to the Xbox and PS4? Codemasters

The mud-slinging racing game Dirt Rally just rolled out its latest update. Codemasters, its developer, has added another four new cars with a number of other additions from community requests.

However, its release date for the PS4 and Xbox One is still a mystery.

For the latest update, Codemasters gives new and amazing features for video gamers. They added a separate class (r4) in the game to accommodate the Subaru Impreza WRX STI 2011 and Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X. For the 2000s class, they retained the Ford Focus RS Rally 2007 and Citroën C4 Rally 2010.

"They are great fun to drive, despite carrying a bit more weight than the other rally cars and each have their own character," Paul Coleman of the Codemasters said on the game's official blog, referring to the latest car additions.

In the Group B 4WD and Group A classes, they will have the latest handling updates. The developers also granted the requests of gaming community, such as manual control for headlights and wipers, elevation on the stage information screen, display for stage distance, and various other tweaks.

Furthermore, the developers said they want gamers to have a realistic experience while playing the game. They also updated bunch of bug fixes like co-driver instructions and achievements.

The game developers are following some unique business model where they add exciting features in the game as players play it. In order to do that, the gaming community gives feedback to the developers to improve the game.

According to a report, the game would be available in Xbox One and PS4 on February next year. As of now, the racing game is available in PC.

Since Dirt Rally's release on Steam Early Access earlier this year, the players garnered more than 72 million kilometers and 2.4 million clean stages. The latest updates add to the growing list of challenges in the game, such as German and Finnish stages and Colorado's Pikes Peak.

The Dirt Rally game is available in Steam Store at the price of $49.99.

Gamers can also download the game for free in Ocean of Games and Softonic. However, experts do not recommend these sites for free download of Dirt Rally. They said these websites often bring viruses to computers.

An early access edition of the Dirt Rally was released on 27 April 2015. On its first release, the game features 17 cars, 36 stages from three real world locations-- Baumholder, Powys and Argolis.
