Most of the mobile handsets today have the same specs and features, but LG G5 stands out among them. The new flagship device is upgradeable, and offers removable battery, microSD slot and full metal body. Now here's the latest update about LG G5 launching and Android Marshmallow rollout. 

At this point, it's no secret that smartphone development have hit plateau in recent years. Many tech companies are releasing multiple phones a year with just a little upgrade in specs and features, making it an endless parade of handsets with specs for the sake of specs.

However, LG did something genuinely different. The South Korean tech company reinvented its new smartphone with a modular design that allows it to be upgraded with camera add-ons, high-end DACs and replaceable batteries, as per report from Forbes.

During LG G5's launching in Barcelona's MWC, LG displayed two modules of the smartphone.  The first is camera extension called the CAM Plus.  The camera add-on gives users a comfortable grip and DSLR-style controls to the phone, coupled with physical buttons for zoom, shutter, record and power. In addition, it gives 1,200mAh of battery for longer camera usage.

The next module, the B&O Play, gives LG G5 owners a high-quality listening experience. The audio add-on, developed by audio specialists Bang & Olufsen, offers concert-like audio playback that can be used with the phone, or as a standalone DAC when connected to a PC or hi-fi.

 LG has not yet announced the official pricing or availability of the LG G5, but interested buyers can expect the device will be available worldwide.

As for the specs of LG G5, Alphr gave reliable information. The latest flagship is equipped with powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 chipset with 4GB of RAM, which helps the device to perform multiple tasks. Additionally, the G5 sports 8MP front-facing camera and 16MP main-camera. It is also reported the device has Android Marshmallow right out of the box.

Speaking of Android Marshmallow (Android M), here's the latest update about Android M Release Date for LG G4, G3.

December last year, LG G4 owners under Sprint got their Marshmallow OS. A month after that, users under US Cellular received the Android upgrade on January 12.  On February 6, the G4 on T-Mobile received its Android M update.
