Live In San Diego: Switchfoot

Known for their poetic lyricism and pop rock sounds, Switchfoot has opened up a new way to capture their live energy. "Live In San Diego", their first live DVD project, allows the audience to be right on stage with the band. It also has backstage clips, and interviews with the band.

Staged in their hometown, the DVD is made exceptionally, with top-notch quality and editing. It delivers the raw sound of the live show, but the full experience can only be with actually being there.

However, the set of the show seems short on the DVD, with parts cut out. Scenes of Jon Foreman, who is known for interaction with the audience between songs, were left out. For the fan that enjoyed the Switchfoot songs of the past, the set was disappointment. The concert mostly included songs of their latest album "Beautiful Letdown", with only one song "Learning to Breathe" from the previous records.

"Live in San Diego" is excellent for the fan, especially as a souvenir for concert-goers. It has special features like interviews and behind-the-scenes footage, as well as the "Meant to Live" video, which not everyone gets to see at a show. It is definitly a good package for the Switchfoot fan.
