Music industry's biggest concert and night of the year is tonight. The 56th Grammy Awards will be televised on CBS television network from 8-11:30 p.m. ET or 5-8:30 p.m. PT on January 26, 2014. In addition, the show will be available online through free live stream at CBS.com.

Host LL Cool J, who has hosting the Grammys for two consecutive years, explained in an interview that it is the "biggest concert in the world" and the amount of man power working behind the stage to put it together. 

"You have the biggest and the best acts in different genres performing in the same concert," he said. "Normally we go to see concerts for a certain style of music and artist, and we see that performance for three hours.

"Think about the biggest show you've ever been to and think about 10 other shows like that and put them together," said the rap artist of 90s hit song "Back to Cali."

The producers this year have invited The Beatles, scheduling Metallica to perform with Chinese pianist and Grammy Cultural Ambassador to China Lang Lang, and '2014 MusiCares Person of the Year' Sara Bareilles with music legends Carole King and Robin Thicke.

Taylor Swift, Daft Punk, Stevie Wonder, Madonna, Nine Inch Nail, Katy Perry, Pink, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, John Legend are some of the hottest artists who will be performing live before the entire music  entertainment industry and fans  gathered at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California, as well as viewers glued to their television on Sunday night.

Meanwhile, Beatles members Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr will receive the 2014 Recording Academy Lifetime Achievement Award.
