Lakers vs. Rockets Nov. 7th Game Preview

Dwight Howard will face the Los Angeles Lakers Thursday night for the first time since leaving by free agency trade in July when the Rockets have achieved their best start in six years.

Rockets' James Harden and Howard have played prolifically as the team has envisioned. Harden finished with a game-high 33 point and Howard added 29 points and 13 rebounds in the 116-101 Tuesday win against the Portland Trail Blazers.

"Dwight makes the whole game so much easier for each teammate," Harden said, according to ESPN>" He draws double teams. He's a great passer. He dominates the post and he can score it. He does everything."

Meanwhile, the Lakers have lost their two road games by a combined 50 points. Their Tuesday game against the Dallas Mavericks resulted in a 123-104 loss. Coach Mike D'Antoni said that the team needs to learn how to play. "We're not playing right now."

Rockets' starting point guard Patrick Beverley injured his rib in the season opener, and will miss 10 to 14 days as he recovers. Meanwhile, Jeremy Lin takes over the starting position. In the game against Dallas Mavericks, he scored 14 points, contributing to the team's 113-105 victory.
