MacBook Air, MacBook Pro 2016 Release Date Rumors: New Apple Laptops To Be Unveiled In WWDC

Don't you think that it is long overdue for Apple to roll out a successor to the MacBook Pro 2016 and the MacBook Air 2016? Obviously thinner and lighter will be part of the agenda, with rumors of Touch ID and an OLED touchscreen, not to mention a Q4 release date for the MacBook Pro 2016. Apple fans are now waiting for the launching of MacBook Pro and MacBook Air 2016. These much-anticipated Apple products are expected to be unveiled in June at Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC). Now, here's what is currently known about MacBook Pro and MacBook Air 2016 release date, specs and rumors on the web.

Fans won't need to wait longer as Apple will release MacBook Pro and MacBook Air 2016 in June this year. They will be unveiled at WWDC that will likely take place from June 13-17. However, in a Tech Radar report, Apple might choose to reveal MacBook Pros earlier.

For the specs of the two Apple products, let's start with MacBook Pro 2016. According to International Business Times, the next-generation MacBook Pro will be available in two variants. One is said to be a 13-inch model, and another variant is said to have a 15-inch screen. The two variants are rumored to contain sixth-generation Intel Skylake processors. MacBook Pro will surely bring performance boost with these Skylake processors. An improved battery life is also assured as the new chipset is expected to boost battery performance.

For other specs of the upcoming MacBook Pro, it is said to have features like Retina Display, Touch ID fingerprint scanner, and support for external graphics.

 The 13-inch Retina MacBook Pro will cost around $1,119, and the 2.5GHz 15-inch Retina MacBook Pro will have a price around $2,009.

On the other hand, MacBook Air 2016 will have a thinner design for its 13-inch and 15-inch models. Macworld reported that the upcoming MacBook Air will be slimmer and lighter. It will also have internal system enhancements. Skylake processors will be featured in both MacBook Air variants. In addition, USB Type-C is expected to be featured in the laptop.

There are also reports that MacBook Air 2016 will have a Touch ID within its Trackpad. According to Independent, Touch ID for the MacBook would require a chip to be built-in to the device.

For MacBook Air's price, Apple tends to stay to its price points. However, a rumor suggests that the sizes will increase, but the price will be the same. It is expected to have a 13-inch Air 2016 at $899, and a 15-inch at $999.

Nevertheless, these rumors will give excitement to the fans of the upcoming Apple products. Having Skylake processors to the system of MacBook Pro and MacBook Air, a massive speed improvements will surely be expected.
