Rumors about MacBook Pro 2016 and iPad Mini 5 are making rounds online in the past few weeks. These upcoming Apple products will reportedly have some amazing specs and features to outlast other gadgets in the tech market. Now, here's what is currently known about iPad Mini 5 and MacBook Pro 2016 release date, specs and new features.

To begin let's start with reports about MacBook Pro 2016, which is described as one of the most anticipated laptops of the year. Several tech websites say the upcoming MacBook Pro will have NFC chip and Touch ID feature for more secured transactions. The laptop might also have a touch-enabled OLED panel as a replacement for traditional function keys.

Furthermore, rumors around the internet suggest it might have support for 5K video. In terms of operating system, many Apple fans believe the next Macbook Pro will be powered by Apple's newest OS, MacOS Sierra. The MacOS Sierra was unveiled at WWDC 2016 last month.

Interestingly, this year's MacBook Pro will have lighter and much slimmer body, leading some industry experts to say Apple might ditch the MacBook Air product line this year .

Apple Insider reported Apple Stores in the United States are removing the 13-inch non-Retina MacBook Pro from their show floors. The move suggests that the Cupertino-based tech giant is now clearing its products in preparation for MacBook Pro 2016 launching. Tech Times said Apple will release the powerful laptop before the holiday shopping season in the fourth quarter of the year. However, take note that Apple has not yet confirmed or denied any of the MacBook Pro-related details above so let's take with a grain of salt.

On the other hand, the iPad Mini 5 is rumored to become available this year. The tablet will reportedly have slimmer design and aluminum chassis of 7000 series, giving it a much finer look.

Furthermore, the next iPad Mini could offer Apple 3D touch, Apple Pencil and clearer iSight rear camera, as per report from HNGN. Given that iOS 10 will be released very soon, buyers should expect the firmware is pre-installed in the tablet right out of the box.

As for its release date, many gadget lovers believe the iPad mini 5 will be announced in September 2016, alongside or just after the product launch of the Apple Watch 2 and iPhone 7.
