Macbook Pro 2016 Release Date and Rumors: 2016 Launching Possible, Code In El Capitan Says

Apple is set to announce new MacBook Pro 2016 at this year's WWDC

It's been almost three years since Apple Inc. released the Mac Pro at WWDC 2013, so many people are asking when they would see the new Mac Pro. Now, here's the latest news about MacBook Pro 2016's release date, specs and rumors.

WWDC 2015 ended last June, but the company is the still mum about the developments of the laptop despite the fact that new Intel chips have been unveiled, which is believed destined for Mac Pro.

The current Mac Pro was launched two and a half years ago, and the company started to sell it six months after.  For those who are hoping to see the new Mac Pro, MacWorld published that the latest laptop from Apple will arrive soon. The same source also hinted that new Intel Xeon Skylake chips have arrived.

Release date rumors started when curious Apple followers found an OS X El Capitan code named "AAPLJ951". The current MacBook Pro is codenamed AAPLJ90, so they believed the new code is from the MacBook Pro 2016.

Apple Inc. initially said the laptop will be out in the market last year, particularly in November, but the launching did not happen. The company reportedly delayed the release until spring of 2016 to make leeway for iPad Pro sales, according to a published report from Latinos Post.

In a separate MacWorld article, it says Apple might launch new MacBook Air, new Apple Watch 2 and iPhone 6c during an event in March 2016.

As for the specs of  Macbook 2016, the code in the El Capitan beta suggests that the next generation of the laptop will offer 10 USB 3.0 ports. Currently, there are 4 USB 3 ports and 6 Thunderbolt 2 ports on the Mac Pro.

Another thing Apple could add is a Lightning port as seen on the iPhone. There are online reports that say the lightning port will be used on Macs for plugging in headphones that have high-res audio.

For the storage capacity of new MacBook Pro, expect it to be bigger. The current models only offer 12GB RAM in the Quad-Core model and 16GB in the 6-Code model as standard.

Furthermore, the processors in the current Mac Pros are configurable up to 3.5GHz for a six-core option, 3.0GHz for an 8-core option, and 2.7GHz for a 12-core option. Expect to see a slight boost in these numbers but with the same clock speeds.
