Has Madden 16 predicted the outcome of Super Bowl 50? Bleacher Report/EA Sports

Considering that Super Bowl 50 is going to start this Sunday, there has been a lot of talk about who will be the winner, will it be the Denver Broncos or the Carolina Panthers?  According to Madden NFL 16, it looks like the winner has been determined digitally.  This has also led into talk about Madden NFL 17 with its release date and rumors of new features.

According to HNGN, the simulation predicts the Carolina Panthers will win the Super Bowl 50 with 24-20 as the Panthers jump out to an early 17-0 halftime lead.  Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning will then lead his team in a comeback taking the lead 20-17 in the fourth quarter, but then fall short as Carolina's own Cam Newton rushes the game-winning touchdown with less than one minute left in the game.

All in all, it sounds like it will be a good game, with Cam Newton awarded the Super Bowl MVP after completing 19 of 26 passes for 216 yards.  Whether or not this digital prophecy will come to pass is another, but it is predicted that Cam Newton will be the hero of Super Bowl 50.

Just to let you know, the Madden games have accurately predicted the winner of nine of the last 12 Super Bowls, and even predicted the exact final score of last year's game with the New England Patriots winning 28-24 over the Seattle Seahawks.

While we are on the subject of Madden NFL 16, this would be a good time to talk about the anticipated follow-up with Madden NFL 17.  Considering that Madden 16 was released on August 25 of last year, Madden NFL 17 isn't really expected until later this summer.

News about what will be in the latest and most popular football series of games is completely scarce.  Fans have been preparing "wish lists", and even creating websites such as Madden 17 News.  Such requests include an Auto Functioning Draft Mode, and a Player Morale System.  The Player Morale System could introduce some preseason improvements in order to set and raise self-confidence of the players, as well as introducing rookies on a playing level.  There is also a request for a Vast Franchisee Mode, which could give the player the option of designing an entire stadium with features like entrance and winning match celebration and such.

So as far as both Madden and Super Bowl 50 are concerned, it really is up in the air.  Sure, there are things that fans can safely predict from the game, but that is dependent on if EA Sports will listen to the requests of fans.  As for Super Bowl 50, hopefully, Madden won't be too successful in picking the winner, or the surprise will be taken away completely.
