Mass Effect: Andromeda Bug Fixed, Monogamous Relationships Are the Way to Go

All aboard the monogamy ship!

All good things must come to an end, and where gaming is concerned, we are not referring to the end of a particular gaming franchise or company, but a bug. A bug that has been going on for some time, and yet it does not detract from the gameplay, but rather, it has managed to create a buzz among fans of BioWare’s Mass Effect: Andromeda. Mass Effect: Andromeda allows gamers to romance another character in the game, despite being of different species to add some spice to the gameplay. However, a bug in the game had allowed gamers to be a “player”, by courting two different in-game characters at the same time as opposed to the game’s supposed original design of being in a monogamous relationship. Well, sad to say that this bug has been squashed in the latest Mass Effect: Andromeda update by BioWare.

The upcoming patch will not only fix that particular bug which allows gamers to have a fling with more than one character simultaneously, but other bugs and glitches, too, will be put into the trash bin. Majority of the other changes are more than welcome, as these tweaks will include not having to fret concerning new dialogue options being greyed out, while other fixes are capable of eliciting a laugh -- or two, including correcting the “issue where Cora slowly fell back to the ground after charging an airborne enemy.”

However, BioWare has clearly put their foot down where the player is no longer able to romance both Cora and Peebee, and also romance both Vetra and Peebee at the same time. I suppose it is all about monogamy, as Mass Effect: Andromeda continues to explore the various kinds of relationships, including the option to carry out casual flings or to take the route of having a more serious bond with different people on board the same starship. Some might even figure out that this is not even a “bug” in the first place, the ability to romance two people or in-game characters simultaneously.

Other fixes that BioWare has introduced for the upcoming Mass Effect: Andromeda patch include the issue that caused single player difficulty to impact multiplayer, better performance and stability, improvements of different kinds to cinematic scenes, and Ryder will no longer be mistakenly informed that there is new email coming, better legibility of subtitles, the increase of the Nexus Level to 29, better balance improvements at higher difficulties in single player mode, an increased number of autosaves, not having player animations getting stuck when jumping or changing direction repeatedly, the inability to carry over special items into New Game+, the ability for vendors to now sell fire augmentations, a higher level of restrictions for the use of chest armors, the deconstruction of bonus items such as Pathfinder Armor, better response from control sticks, no more clipping issues when it comes to the casual jacket that Sara Ryder wears, more graphics options to toggle Motion Blur and Depth of Field, among others.
