Memorial Day Sale 2016: Microsoft and Best Buy Give Away Huge Discounts on Xbox One, Surface Pro 4 and Surface Book

In celebration of Memorial Day, Microsoft and retailer Best Buy has unveiled various discount deals on their gaming consoles and consumer devices. Specifically, these deals are for the Xbox One console and the Surface Pro 4 and Surface Book hybrid tablets.

Over at the Microsoft Store, the tech giant is currently offering various bundle deals for its Xbox One. The cheapest package is the Xbox One "Gears of War: Ultimate Edition" bundle which costs $299, which is $50 cheaper than its original value. This bundle features the matte black 500GB Xbox One console, a wireless controller, a full download of the remastered "Gears of War" title and multiplayer skin for Superstar Cole.

The most expensive bundle, on the other hand, costs $499. This includes a 1TB Xbox One console, and Xbox Elite wireless controller and carrying case, and storage for additional game.

Other bundles feature the 1TB console along with "The Division," a wireless controller, and another free game while another package comes with the Kinect Bundle.

But aside from gaming devices, consumers can also enjoy discounts on Microsoft gadgets over at Best Buy. The retailer is currently offering deals on various consumer devices but probably the most notable ones are the discounts on Microsoft's Surface Pro 4 and Surface Book.

For instance, instead of paying $1,000, consumers can get their hands on the 128GB Surface Pro 4 for only $850. This device features a 12.3-inch display with a resolution of 2736x1824. Buyers also have the option of getting either the 4GB or 16GB RAM versions for the Intel Core i5 and i7 configurations.

The 250GB version of the Surface Book also got the same $150-discount after its price got slashed from $1,900 to $1,750. This device, which came out in October of last year, comes with a 13.5-inch display with 3000x2000 resolution.

Like the Surface Pro 4, the Surface Book also comes in different setups. For instance, one version houses the Intel Core i5 and 128GB of solid-state storage space and 8GB of RAM. On the other hand, the premium model features the Intel Core i7, 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage space.
