Thursday, April 22nd. MercyMe (Platinum recording group) has been asked to perform at the Tribute To Heroes event at Fort Hood in Killeen, Texas near their hometown of Dallas.

Thousands of soldiers will be gathering at the Tribute To Heroes including the Ft. Hood Troop which captured Saddam Hussein, as well as 20,000 that will return the week of April 15th to join the 40,000 who began returning to the U.S. in January. President Bush is also expected to attend.

This all day celebration starts from 10AM to midnight, offering free food and entertainment to all in attendance. Following their performance, MercyMe will also be on hand to meet the troops, sign CDs, etc.

Just two days prior to this event, MercyMe will release their hugely anticipated new project, Undone, which has spawned the single "Here With Me," and is already receiving incredible response from Christian AC and CHR formats, as well as Pop/CHR, AC and Hot AC mainstream stations.
