Eager fans will know more about upcoming action-adventure stealth video game Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain (MGS V: TPP) when it takes center stage at the Gamescom 2015 event. However, lots of details have already surfaced ahead of announcement, including the game's new Mother Base location and a mysterious new bionic arm.

According to a press release fromthe game's publisher Konami, Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain's Mother Base will be shown during the Gamescom trade fair which will happen roughly a day from now in Cologne, Germany.

For the unfamiliar, Mother Base is a game mode where players can manage their own home base. The way they manage their base ultimately affects the outcome of the game, both offline and online. The soon-to-be-released trailer will reportedly show how big the Mother Base is going to be. It will explain the game's multi-player Forward Operating Base gameplay (FOB), which will be where players can establish more bases around the globe to manage captured resources.

Additionally, Metal Gear creator Hideo Kojima has also shared a series of photos on Twitter providing further revelation about the much-hyped title. These Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain teaser images were tweeted by Kojima along with Japanese caption. Thankfully, Dualshockers translated them and published a neat post where all of Kojima's MGS V-related previews can be found.

The tweets include a photo of the game's Mother Base, which gives us an impression of its appearance and size. Moreover, Kojima also posted a photo of a blue bionic arm attached to a game character. The general consensus is that the new arm belongs to a character named Snake. In an artwork released earlier, however, Gamespot noted that Snake had a red bionic arm.

Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain release date: Kojima & Konami split

Game developer Hideo Kojima apparently continues to share updates to excite avid Metal Gear fans. He's been doing those efforts separately from what Konami has been doing to promote the game. It is sad to learn that the developer and the publisher have parted ways after jointly producing lots of incredible games.

According to Gamespot's insider sources, Kojima might be leaving Konami officially once the game ships on September 1, 2015.  As mentioned, Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain along with other titles will be introduced at Gamescom. MGS V: TPP will be available on the PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and Windows PC.
