Back in 2014, Michael and Luisana traveled to the US with their eldest son Noah after they raised concerns about his health.

As of today, Noah is undergoing preparations for four months of intensive chemotherapy sessions.

Noah's liver condition was confirmed last November 1 after a liver biopsy procedure in Buenos Aires. Michael and his wife did not expect such a heartbreaking result, but as Bublé's sister-in-law Daniela Lopilato says, speaking on behalf of the couple,

"If God wanted it to be discovered that way, it's because he wants to save Noah. Cancer is a horrible illness but we have faith in Noah being able to overcome this. We know he will. The time to start a long and very difficult treatment has come but it's got to be done. They say that children are often strong enough to withstand chemotherapy... and my nephew is a warrior."

It is still unclear how Michael and Luisana first found out that their child was onto something serious, but some speculate that the couple may have seen mumps on Noah. Readily, Luisana brought Noah to the US for an immediate check-up.

At that time, Luisana, an Argentinian actress, was about to start filming the movie Numb: At The Edge of the End alongside co-stars Harvey Keitel and Hayden Christensen.

Argentina-based magazine Gente confirmed just last week that Luisana brought her son to Otamendi Miroli Hospital in Buenos Aires. Gente representatives further confirmed, "After an exhaustive examination, they ruled out mumps and suggested two possibilities, a throat infection or mononucleosis." The doctors then did an abdominal ultrasound and a throat swab test.

On October 27, the doctors confirmed that the throat swap test shows Noah having a throat infection; however, the abdominal ultrasound shows the three-year-old child positive with a liver problem.

At that point, it wasn't confirmed just yet whether the liver problem was benign or malignant. Michael, at that time working in London, then suggested that she get a second opinion in Los Angeles. On October 29, Luisana then flew to the US with their youngest son Elias, and her parents.

On November 1, doctors confirmed that Noah is positive for liver cancer and would have to go through four months of chemotherapy and a surgery to remove the tumor. The doctors also confirmed the situation in a positive light, that Noah has a 90 percent survival rate.

On Luisana's Facebook page, Michael posts on the couple's behalf and asks for support and prayers from everyone, "During this difficult time, we ask that you pray for him and please respect our privacy. We have a long road ahead of us and we hope that with the support of our family, friends, fans around the world and our faith in God, we can win this battle."
