Michael Schumacher is a racing legend, best remembered for winning five successive titles with Ferrari.  He retired in 2006, then made a comeback with Mercedes in 2010, then officially retiring two years later.  Then a ski accident on December 29, 2013, left him hospitalized in a coma until the F1 Legend was removed from the hospital and put in a special rehab.  Since then, all his fans want to know how his condition is doing, but a Health update never comes from his manager or family, who value their privacy.  Occasionally, some related news happens, like a prayer from Pope Francis, as well as his son Mick taking up racing. 

As stated before, Michael Schumacher's health has been a source of constant media blackout.  The family wants their privacy, and so there has been very little news about Michael Schumacher's health, but several false reports have come forth, with many being rebutted by Schumacher's wife, Corinna.  There was once a report of a reporter disguising himself as a priest to see Schumacher, and it shows how much the media should not be obsessed with reporting on the racing legend.

Most of the concerns about Schumacher are about his reported round-the-clock care needed, with estimates costing £115,000 per week.  There have also been concerns about how the Schumachers are paying for this care, but Schumacher's fortune is estimated at $700 to $800 million in housing properties.  Corinna has already sold the racer's private jet as well as their holiday home in Norway to supposedly pay the expenses. 

According to Ecumenical News, Pope Francis has recently offered a prayer for Schumacher after FIA president Jean Todt paid him a visit to show the Pope the road safety campaign called #SaveKidsLives.  The campaign is meant to put an end to the 500 children who die on roads every day and the other 20,000 that are injured.  The Pope was impressed with what Todt had to say, and happily accepted an invitation to pray for Schumacher. 

In the meantime, GP Update reports that Mick Schumacher, Michael's son, will contest the final round of the 2015/16 MRF Challenge Championship in India for this weekend.  Mick has spent the 2015 season competing in the ADAC  Formula 4, and joins the field for the decisive Chennai event, with four races to be held on January 30-31.
