Microsoft is preparing for a big event next month where it expected to unveil its much anticipated 2015 flagships, the Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL.  A few weeks before the rumored launch, new reports now suggest that the devices will be placed at roughly the same price point as the iPhones 6s.

A Spanish online retailer called Ecomputer.es has leaked the pricing of both the Lumia 950 and 950 XL. The listings, first spotted by technology site Phone Arena, show that the Lumia 950 will cost €659 (about $738) and the larger 950 XL is priced at €749 ($838).

For perspective, Apple's new iPhone 6s with 16GB of built-in storage sells for €749 in France and €739 in Germany. The Cupertino-based tech giant has yet to disclose the price of its new smartphone in Spain but it is not expected to be far apart from other European markets.

The tech site further reported that Microsoft will try to lure consumers to shell out such a hefty of money by bundling €200 worth of accessories with the handset's purchase. The add-ons were said to be comprised of the Continuum dock and a Bluetooth speaker along with an NFC "Treasure" Tag.

It still remains to be seen whether Microsoft's upcoming flagships will be worth the price. Both models will reportedly pack high-end specification, according to earlier reports. The Lumia 950 features a 5.1-inch OLED display with 1440×2560 resolution. It will be furnished with a Snapdragon 808 chipset from Qualcomm under the hood, coupled with a generous 3GB of RAM and 32GB of expandable memory.

Photography-focused users will not be disappointed as both smartphones are said to have a 20-megapixel PureView rear camera and a 5-megapixel wide-angle front camera. The Lumia 950 will be kept powered up by a 3,000mAh removable battery which is compatible with Qi wireless chargers.

The slightly larger Lumia 950 XL will sport nearly similar specs but will come with a faster Snapdragon 810 processor. It will have a 5.7-inch WQHD screen and a larger 3,300mAh battery. Both models will come with USB Type-C support.

There is good chance that the flagship duo will be officially unveiled during the software giant's October 6 event. Invites for the NYC event were already given out by the company last week. While the Lumia 950 and 950 XL will probably be the main stars of the event, Microsoft is also forecasted to introduce the successor to its popular Surface Pro 3 tablet-PC hybrid. The new Surface Pro 4 device will sport the same form factor and design of its predecessor but will have improved internal specifications and will be powered by Windows 10 out of the box.
