Microsoft's latest tablet, the Surface Pro 4, was initially rumored to be scheduled for launch this September alongside the Windows 10. But a leak in the earnings of chipset maker AMD has forced Microsoft to adjust the release of Windows 10 in July thus, fans can get hold of the upcoming Surface Pro 4 much earlier, reported Tech Radar.

The new laptop/tablet hybrid will have "killer features" designed to thump down both the Apple laptop and tablet devices. VC Post said the Microsoft Surface Pro 4 will be sporting high-end specs that can outperform the iPad Pro and the new MacBook.

The Surface 4 will be coming in two variants, with the 12-inch model with 2,160 x 1,440 pixel-resolution display, powered by a new Intel's Core M 'Broadwell' CPU a fan-less chipset. Another variant of the Microsoft Surface 4 is aimed at a more powerful device and users and will come in 15-inch monitor and powered by Intel i5 and i7 processor.

Just like its predecessor, the Surface Pro 4 will have similar storage options to the Surface Pro 3, with 64GB and rising to 128GB, 256GB and 500GB memory capacity.

Microsoft's Surface general manager Brian Hall wrote in the company's official blog that the Surface Pro 3 and the Surface Pro 4 will have more things in common, including compatible accessories.

Hall wrote in the blog, "We are pleased to share that the following Surface Pro 3 accessories are designed with our product roadmap in mind and will be compatible with the next generation of the "Pro" line of Surface:

    Our "infrastructure" accessories such as our power adapter, Ethernet adapter, and more

Surface Pro 4 to Face Challenges From New Windows 10 Feature, Continuum

However, there are concerns there might be incompatibility issues with the Surface Pro 4 because of the new Windows 10 OS.

According to Day Herald, Surface Pro 4 would not work well with one of Windows 10's features, particularly the Continuum. The basic feature of Continuum is it allows users to pair two different gadgets and work them together by casting screens. With Surface 4, the features enables users to work on a small device, including smartphone,  and view their activity on a larger screens of laptops and computers.

This same feature is seen to diminish the need to buy the new Microsoft Surface Pro 4. Because the Windows 10's Continuum already allows users to view their smartphone activities on largesr screens, like laptop or desktop, and vice versa, then they have no need to buy the new hybrid Surface Pro.

More importantly, if you can already accomplish your laptop or desktop activity on a smartphone, then there is no need for tablet.

The Microsoft Surface Pro 4 is seen to cost between $1,200 and $2,000 when it hit the shelves, reported IBTimes.
