Telltale Games has released the trailer for Minecraft: Story Mode Episode 2. The trailer said, "You and your friends revere the legendary Order of the Stone: Warrior, Redstone Engineer, Griefer, and Architect; slayers of the Ender Dragon. While at EnderCon in hopes of meeting Gabriel the Warrior, you and your friends discover that something is wrong... something dreadful. Terror is unleashed, and you must set out on a quest to find The Order of the Stone if you are to save your world from oblivion."

A blog posted on Telltale Games website also provides insight into the latest adventure in Minecraft. "In the second chapter of our story, time is running out for our intrepid heroes. The Wither Storm looms ever closer, consuming everything in its wake. Depending on their decisions, Jesse and friends are off to explore either kingdom of chaos or wondrous Redstone marvels in search of Magnus or Ellegaard, the remaining known members of The Order of the Stone. Can these legendary figures help our heroes stop the impending threat?" the blog said.

A separate report by Game Rant expressed surprise that Telltale Games released the second episode of Minecraft: Story Mode very soon as the game developer is known to release new chapters after several months.

At the same time, the game developer has released the Minecraft: Story Mode's season pass (or this Friday the 30th in Europe), which comes in the form of a physical disk release and contains Episode 1 of the series, with access to the remaining four episodes when they become available for download.

Like in previous Telltale adventures, the second episode of Minecraft: Story Mode will be based on the decisions made by the player during the adventure. However, this episode will take a different route from Episode 1: The Order of the Stone as far as choices are concerned.

Telltale claims that the second iteration of Minecraft: Story Mode will be the most divergent episode yet as players will try to seek help from Magnus the Griefer or Ellegaard the Redstone Engineer in two entirely different locations.

Minecraft: Story Mode Episode 2, Assembly Required can be downloaded online by gamers who own the base game. The physical copy of the season pass is already available in the U.S. and will be coming to Europe on October 30.
