Minecraft, the extremely popular sandbox strategy game branched out with their pixelated world building by coming out with Minecraft:Story Mode, an RPG version of the game. There have been five different episodes released so far. Now players are anxiously awaiting the 6th version announced by Telltale back in March, and here is the latest news on the game, which is titled A Portal to Mystery.

Episode 5, Order Up,  which had Jesse and friends going to an abandoned temple in search of treasures, and ending up in the new world of Sky City after they were ambushed by Ocelot Aiden and his crew, was set to be a bridge to the 6th episode.  This walkthrough video shows the ending of the episode:

This new episode will see the Minecraft hero Jesse, along with his friends in a world that is infested with zombies. The old characters will be trapped in a mansion with some new characters- ones that YouTube watchers may very well be familiar with. The famous Minecraft YouTubers will play their online personas in this episode. They include Stampy Cat (Joseph Garrett), Stacy Plays (Stacy Hinojosa),  DanTDM (Dan Middleton), LDShadowLady (Lizzie Dwyer), and CaptainSparklez  (Jordan Maron).

Here's a video with the YouTubers discussing their role in the new game:

"Spoilers: There is death, but you don't know who yet," says Jordan Maron, introducing the video. He adds later, "I'm trying to sort of be the helpful person through lots of bad things happening."

There will be a lot of Easter Eggs and inside jokes for those who know the YouTube players.

According to the Video Games Blogger, Telltale Games has released the Minecraft episodes more rapidly on average than their other episodic games.  Episode 5 took a little longer because of the preparation needed for Episodes 6-8.  According to their original estimations of releases every 4 to 6 weeks, Episode 6 was expected to arrive between the 26th of April and May 10th.

Episode 6 of Minecraft Story mode will launch on June 7th on all platforms, like Windows, Mac, Xbox One, Xbox 360, PlayStation 4, Playstation 3, Wii U, iOS, and Android. Episodes 7 and 8 are also supposed to be released later this year, though the exact release dates have not yet been revealed. If you want to buy this episode, or the following ones, you will have to at least purchased Episode 1. Then you can get the Adventure Pass of all three of the next episodes for $14.99.  The single episode costs $4.99.
