In the Eastern Conference First Round series, Canadiens and Lightning both rallied from one-goal deficit before Montreal edged Tampa Bay 5-4. While the Canadiens had a home court advantage in the first game, they are expecting today a similar opposition that could make a comeback as the Tampa Bay will be playing in familiar rinks with overly zealous crowd.

The Canadiens made 44 shots and five goals, but were unable to complete three power-plays. Goalie Carey Price blocked 21 shots but allowed 4 goals. Veteran forward Daniel Briere made the primary assist on the goal and picked up his 110th career playoff point in 109 games, according to NHL.com.

The Lightning defense were constantly attacked as goalie Anders Lindback stopped 39 shots, but allowed five goals. The team's no. 1 goalie Ben Bishop is sidelined for an upper-body injury and coach told reporters not to expect to see Bishop "any time" soon, the NHL.com reported.
