‘Mortal Kombat X’ DLC Release Date & Characters: ‘Mortal Kombat XL’, Kombat Pack 1, Pack 2 and Two Costume Cosplay Pack

The Mortal Kombat Franchise being over two decades old, but newer players who will want to get on it might be confused as to what game to buy at the lowest price, as well as what Downloadable Content (DLC) is available. This is the news about what is available for Mortal Kombat X, Mortal Kombat XL, the Kombat Pack 1, and the Kombat Pack 2.  There is also some other DLC available as well with the two costume Cosplay Pack, available for those that pre-order. 

According to Attack of the Fanboy, there are reports of a tweet from NetherRealm Studios that announces that pre-orders of Mortal Kombat XL or the Kombat Pack 2 will result in the player receiving the two costume Cosplay Pack.  What is the two costume Cosplay Pack? It includes two costumes already available in the game itself, but the player can put them on a pair of different fighters.  Cassie will have a Sub-Zero costume while Jacqui will get a Scorpion costume.

The Mortal Kombat XL includes both the previously released Kombat Pack 1 as well as the Kombat Pack 2, and it will be available on March 1st in North America and March 4th in Europe, on the PS4 and Xbox One consoles for a price of $59.99.

The Kombat 1 Pack, according to WB Games Support includes The Ultimate Horror Pack with playable character Jason Voorhees as well as horror skins Vampiress Mileena, Kraken Reptile and Pharaoh Ermac.  The Klassic Pack #1 with playable character Tanya as well as Klassic skins for Kano, Sonya and Liu Kang.  The Predator / Prey Pack with playable character Predator as well as Predator-themed skins Commando Johnny, Infrared Scorpion and Carl Weathers as Jax.  The Klassic Pack #2 with Playable character, Tremor as well as Klassic skins for Quan Chi, Jax and Kung Lao. 

The Kombat Pack 2 includes four new characters - Leatherface (from The Texas Chainsaw Massacre franchise), Triborg (combination of cyborgs Sektor, Cyrax, and Smoke), Alien (from the Alien movie franchise), and Bo'Rai Cho.  Apocalypse Pack (with three new characters skins for Takeda, D'Vorah, and Erron Black).  The Goro character (previously only available as a preorder/paid fighter).   The Brazil Pack with three new character skins: Futbol Cage, Capoeira Liu Kang, and Gaucho Kung Lao. The Kold War Pack with three new character skins:  Motherland Sonya, Tundra Sub-Zero, and Revolution Kano.  Kold War Scorpion:  The classic Mortal Kombat character with a Kold War skin.

The Kombat Pack 1 is 9.99 while the Kombat Pack 2 is $19.99, but both can be purchased for $24.99 according to the Lawyer Herald
