These are some of the DLC characters.

Mortal Kombat X DLC content is rolling out just weeks after the game's initial release to the Xbox One, Playstation 4, and PC. For now, the exact release date for MKX on Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 remains unconfirmed.  Meanwhile, owners of the PC edition report save issues with the recent massive patch from NeatherRealm Studios.

A word of caution, the game has a well-deserved ESRB rating of M for Mature for its graphic violence and gore. In short, MKX is definitely not suitable for children. Parents have been duly warned.

Jason Voorhees DLC Makes a Splash. Predator, Tanya, Tremor Coming Soon.

The slasher horror icon from the Friday 13 movies is now available to all players. Released May 5, Jason Voorhees comes complete with a new set of brutalities and fatalities. His intro sequence is just as disturbing as his hockey mask. Horror fans will definitely be pleased.

Players who have purchased the $30 'Kombat Pack' season pass will get to play as Predator ahead of everyone else on May 24. For now, details regarding his moves and fatalities remain a mystery. Kombat Pack subscribers will also get early downloads for Tanya on May 10, and Tremor on June 7.

According to Game Rant, NeatherRealm Studio's DLC plans have been very divisive with fans. Many players question the reason new characters were not included with the initial Mortal Kombat X launch. MKX developers have often pointed out that the DLC content was simply not ready before the retail launch.

PC Patch Deletes Game Saves, PS4/Xbox One Patch Stable

PC edition owners lost their game saves after downloading and installing the latest patch via Steam. Developed by High Voltage Software, the patch was meant to fix previous online connectivity issues with Mortal Kombat X on PC.

NeatherRealm Studios has already awarded 10,000 free Krypt Koins to PC players for the earlier online fiasco. The game developer regularly outsources PC porting to High Voltage Software.

Happily, Xbox One and PS4 players have not reported significant issues after installing the 1.04 patch. The only notable problem is that some gamers are having trouble downloading the patch. Patch 1.04 addresses an earlier issue where the new Jason character fails to appear for Playstation users. Other fixes include shortening the time needed to access online features.

The next update for PS4 and Xbox One players will be 1.05. However, the release notes are not available at this time.
