Motorola's new Moto 360, Moto X+1, and Moto G2 were launched with great fanfare at the recent revealing ceremony in Chicago. Naturally, pre-orders should be coming soon at the major U.S. carriers such as Sprint, AT&T, Verizon, and T-Mobile.

In an earlier article, we looked at the supply situation for all carriers mentioned above. Here is an update to that report.

Moto 360

Update: Early Shipping Begins for Preordered Watches

Given its current popularity, Moto 360 sold out at retailers such as Best Buy. Technically, the smartwatch has been released, but Motorola has been having trouble meeting demand in the previous weeks.

Fortunately, Motorola has begun restocking the Moto 360 on their official online store. Consumers will still need to act quickly before supplies are exhausted yet again. As always, the Moto 360 comes with a choice of either black or grey leather band.

The Moto 360 is also available for pre-order at Verizon, which has given an October 27 shipping date. 'Big Red' is selling the smartwatch for about $250.

AT&T will add the Moto 360 to its inventory, but has yet to confirm a pre-order date. Sprint and T-Mobile are still silent regarding their plans for the Moto 360.

Moto X+1 (Moto X 2014, Moto X2)

As of Tuesday, Sept. 16, AT&T is now accepting Moto X+1 pre-orders. Buyers will notice that the U.S. carrier has listed the smartphone as the 2nd Generation Moto X. The device sells for $99.99 with 2-year contract, and $526.99 unlocked. Motorola is also offering the unlocked next-gen Moto X, but at a slightly lower price of $499.99.

For now, the new Moto X seems to be an AT&T exclusive. Even so, there have been unconfirmed rumors that Verizon is getting a variant of the next-gen smartphone. There is still no official word regarding the new Moto X at both T-Mobile and Sprint.

Just like the previous Moto X, the newest Motorola device comes with many customization options. Customers have their choice of 25 personalized covers, 2 front cover colors, and 10 trim finishes. The phone comes with free 16GB internal storage, but buyers can upgrade to 32GB for an additional $50.

To be clear, there are actually two types of Moto X phones - one original and one new. To distinguish between the devices, consumers have dubbed the newer device the "Moto X+1". Other users have called the phone Moto X 2014 or Moto X2. Motorola still refers to the Moto X+1 simply as the Moto X.

Moto G2 (Moto G 2014, New Moto G)

Currently, only the Motorola Store is offering the next-gen Moto G without contract. Customers can choose between the international and U.S. unlocked version. Both sell at a starting price of $179.99. Unlike the new Moto X, the 2nd generation Moto G comes in only two colors options - black or white. At this time, only the U.S. version is available. The international variant is sold out.

At this time, none of the major U.S. carriers have confirmed a release schedule for the new Moto G. This situation may change next month, after the latest iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus release date hype dies down. For now, consumers will need to wait patiently for further updates from Motorola.
