Motorola is rolling out Android's latest 5.0.2 Lollipop operating system software today for AT&T customers, according to the most recent reports.

Phone Arena has confirmed through a reader that the AT&T version of Motorola' second-generation Moto X has received the Lollipop 5.0 update. Of course, as with any Android OS update, it won't drop for all devices at the same time, but this is a solid indication that you can expect to see the over-the-air (OTA) notification soon.

"We are excited to announce a new software update for Moto X (2nd Generation) by Motorola," the second-gen Moto X release notes state. "This update brings AndroidTM 5.0.2  Lollipop to your phone along with other improvements."

The Pure Edition of the Moto X was the first of Motorola's devices to receive the original Lollipop update that was launched in November of last year. Since that time, Verizon customers also received the update, but reports are also coming in that Verizon customers can expect the Lollipop 5.0.2 to arrive this week to their Moto X second-gen as well.

The size of the update for AT&T users is 652.5 MB, so may sure you have anough room and make sure your battery is at 50% or more before attempting the upgrade.

Android 5.0 Lollipop is the latest Android mobile operating system that brings with it the more efficient Material Design layout, enhanced notifications, improved battery life, and streamlined app usage.

Android 5.0.2 is a further improvement to the Lollipop software as it improves upon many of the wi-fi and password glitches that were present when Lollipop first launched.
