Motorola's Moto Z Force comes with "shatter-free" body Forbes

Get ready to own the toughest smartphones of the year. Motorola and Samsung will release this year "shatter-proof" handsets that are protected with an extremely durable body. Also, these smartphones will come with the top of the line specs and features.

Here's the latest update about Moto Z Force and Galaxy S7 Active release date, specs and price.

Let's start with the recently announced brand-new version of the Galaxy S7, known as the Galaxy S7 Active. This rugged version of the device is coming this summer with a massive 4,000 mAh battery and lighting quick processor.

Most phones that claim to be water resistant have an IP67 rating, which means it can last underwater for up to 10 minutes. However, most of the time these phones get damaged by water but that is not a problem for the Galaxy S7 Active. This smartphone can be completely submerged underwater for up to 30 minutes. In addition, it is fully IP68 certified for dust protection. Gordon Kelly of Forbes claims the Galaxy S7 Active is Samsung's most durable smartphone.

Inside, it is powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 820 processor and 4GB of RAM. As we mentioned earlier, it is also packed with 4,000 mAh battery which Samsung claims can last for up to 32 hours of talk time.

The new Galaxy S7 Active is now available on AT&T. Buyers can get it for just $26.50 a month for 30 months, or $33.13 a month for 24 months. It is also available in three different colors options: Camo Green, Sandy Gold or Titanium Gray.

On the other hand, Motorola unveiled its 2016 flagship, the Moto Z, this week. The device comes in two versions: the Standard Moto Z and the Moto Z Force. The latter is protected with aluminum chassis - the first time Motorola has used this material.

Just like the Galaxy S7 Active, the Moto Z Force is protected with shatter-proof glass. There are also reports that it can be dropped from nearly 5ft and won't break or shatter.

Motorola's most durable smartphone is fueled with Quad-core Snapdragon 820 and 4GB of RAM. In terms of camera technology, the Moto Z Force boasts 21-MP rear camera with OIS and laser autofocus5. Also, it has 5-MP front-facing snapper with wide angle lens and LED flash.

With 3500 mAh capacity battery, Motorola claims the device can last up to 40 hours under moderate usage.

CNET reported the Moto Z Force will become available worldwide in September, and Motorola said the device will be offered on Verizon wireless "this summer."

We'll give more details as soon as we know more.
