"Home and Heart" is this year's theme of the 24th annual MOVIEGUIDE Faith & Values Awards Gala scheduled for Feb. 5 at the Universal Hilton Hotel near Hollywood. The program rewards the best family-friendly movies and TV shows of the previous year. Fans can enter a contest to win an all-expenses-paid trip to Los Angeles and the chance to meet and dine with celebrities Sadie Robertson and Kevin Sorbo.

The show will be telecast Monday, Feb. 22, and Wednesday, Feb. 24, on REELZ Channel. Hosting the awards this year is actor Joe Mantegna and Sadie Robertson of A&E's Duck Dynasty. The awards also should be available from the group's YouTube channel.

Movieguide is an advocacy organization that serves as an international family guide to movies and entertainment. Through the group's TV show, radio show and Internet format, their program reaches more than 21 million monthly listeners in the United States. It also is carried by 10 countries around the world via broadcast, cablecast and satellitecast.

The annual program provides nominees and winners in several categories:

BRADLEY FOUNDATION FAITH & FREEDOM AWARDS FOR MOVIES AND TELEVISION celebrated pieces that are insightful and compassionate. They are given to the one movie and/or one TV program that do the most to improve cultural understanding between Americans and people of other countries by showing a positive or more balanced view of America and Americans, including presenting the best of American values, such as liberty, religious freedom, freedom of speech, the right to vote, property rights, proper compassion for others, protection of the innocent, the right to due process, the right to life and to pursue happiness, the rule of the law, democracy, capitalism, personal responsibility, the right to bear firearms, and a belief in limited and responsible government, equal justice under the law, and government by the consent of the governed.

Nominees for this category from 2015 are:  Cinderella, The Good Dinosaur, The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 2, Joy, Max, McFarland, USA and Woman in Gold.

GRACE AWARD FOR MOVIES & TELEVISION is presented to an actor or actress in a motion picture or television program who exemplifies God's grace and mercy toward human beings through their outstanding performance.

Other awards include the $100,000 EPIPHANY PRIZE, which is about pieces that are wholesome, spiritually uplifting, inspirational, redemptive and moral. One movie and one TV program receive it, for a total of $200,000 presented. The CRYSTAL TEDDY AWARDS are given to 10 best films for family audience and 10 best films for mature audiences, and are chosen for their moral and spiritual principles, as well as their production values. There also are recipients of the $50,000 CHRONOS PRIZE and $50,000 KAIROS PRIZE for established filmmakers and inspiring screenplays.

In addition to the awards, Movieguide founder and publisher Ted Baehr presents his highly anticipated annual statistical analysis based on a year of reviews.
