MTV Hit Christian Group GRITS Releasing Upcoming Albums

Recent Dove Awarded Rap duo, 'GRITS,' who received the trophy for "Rap/Hip Hop Recorded Song of the Year" release its new single "Believe" from the Art of Translation.

The group plans to make releases next month and in November of this year.

"Winning this award is just a great feeling," said rapper Coffee. "To be appreciated in this way among our peers, especially being hip-hop, shows that the genre is gaining more attention in the Christian music industry."

GRITS' 2002 album earned a hit on "MTV Cribs" and "The Real World" for their single "Here We Go." The single also enjoyed a slot in the box-office smash hit "Something's Gotta Give" starring Jack Nicholson and Diane Keaton.

Sales of the 'The Art Of Translation' are consistent and closely hits the 150,000 mark. The album also went to make an impressive appearance on the CMJ Hip Hop Chart at peak position at #11.

The first of the two albums, titled Dichotomy A, portrays a more aggressive sound for the group, and Dichotomy B to be released in November will have more smoother textures. Both albums contain a range of 24 songs for fans, both produced by veteran producer Otto Price (tobyMac, Out of Eden, Barlowgirl.)

The group accompanied by Skillet, 12 Stones and Pillar are currently on a 40-city tour.
