The 2015 NBA Draft is scheduled for Thursday, June 25, at the Barclays Center in New York, N.Y. It will air at 7 p.m. on ESPN. The NBA Draft Lottery is held on Tuesday, May 19. The Early Entry Eligibility Deadline is Sunday, April 26.

The Minnesota Timberwolves won the No. 1 overall pick during the 2015 NBA Draft Lottery in New York. The Timberwolves finished with the worst record in the league this season. Since the lottery system was introduced in the 1990, this will be the fourth time that the No. 1 pick was given to the team with the worst record.

Kentucky center Karl-Anthony Towns has emerged as the biggest draw in this year's draft with the No.1 overall draft pick Timberwolves and the No. 2 overall draft pick Los Angeles Lakers vying to get him to sign up. However, the Los Angeles Daily News reported that all indications points to Towns being drafted by the Minnesota Timberwolves No. 1 overall and will unlikely suit up for the Los Angeles Lakers.

Kentucky center's decision to avoid working out with the Lakers is an indication that he is moving to Minnesota. Towns is believed to be the best prospect in this year's prospective NBA drafts.

However, the No. 2 overall pick in the NBA Draft, the Lakers recently worked out Jahlil Okafor for the second time. The report added that the Lakers are still hopeful Towns will show up for a work out and have indicated that their schedules are flexible to accommodate the Kentucky big man anytime.

Also, Basketball Insider reporter Steve Kyler posted on his Twitter account @stevekylerNBA that both the Los Angeles Lakers and the Boston Celtics are vying for cap space and trading from late in the first round and are trying to find a way out of the unguaranteed second pick overall.

Kyler wrote, "Lakers are also trying to move out of the 27 and Boston trying to move out of 28 too... no surprise on either - both covet capspace."

Sacramento Radio reporter Sean Cunningham twitted on his Twitter account ‏@News10Sean, that No. 6 overall draft pick Emmanuel Mudiay is trying to avoid to work out with the King. He wrote, "Emmanuel Mudiay's camp has, to date, been refusing a Kings workout - says several sources. That strategy is smart though - likely gone by 6."

Mudiay has worked out with four NBA teams so far in the draft. Reports indicate that his camp is planning a second work out with the team, including the Lakers.

In the final week of the 2015 NBA draft, at least 34 players who had been declared as early candidates and presented by State Farm have withdrawn from the draft. With the withdrawal, there are now 47 collegiate and 11 international prospects remaining early entry candidates for this year's NBA Draft.
