With the 2016 NBA free agency coming up, point guard Rajon Rondo is expected to make another team switch. Although it is not yet clear where he will end up next season, reports are suggesting that the Brooklyn Nets might sign him.

At age 30, Rondo is already a veteran in the NBA. He first made his professional debut in 2006 after being drafted by the Boston Celtics as the 21^st overall pick. He stayed with the team until 2014 and even managed to secure an NBA championship during his second year with the team.

After his long stint with the Celtics, he was traded to the Dallas Mavericks and stayed there for a year before signing a one-year deal with the Sacramento Kings. Now that his contract is about to end, Rondo is looking to join another team as a free agent.

Although variouss teams will probably go after him once the free agency market opens, the Nets will most likely be the most aggressive one. As noted by Nothing But Nets, the team has been on the lookout for a good point guard to add to its roster.

Originally, they were reportedly interested in getting Derrick Rose from the Chicago Bulls. However, since he was already traded to the New York Knicks, the Nets have started shopping around for a different player.

If they are still keen on securing a point guard, then they should probably focus their attention on Rondo. For one, he already has an experience of what it's like to play and win in the finals series.

Also, he will certainly be a good addition to any team, especially since he just came from his best season in the NBA. During his year in Sacramento, his three-point stat shot up to 37 percent.

But then again, this is just a speculation on where Rondo could end up in. As he said in a recent interview, he wants to join a franchise where he'll be surrounded by dedicated and selfless teammates.

"I want to see myself in a situation where guys want to grow, guys want to get better," he told ESPN. "I don't want to be the hardest working guy in the gym."

"At the very least, selfless teammates - that's the most I can ask for going into this free agency, to get around guys that want to be around one another," he added.
