The Boston Celtics have been widely rumored to express interest on Miami Heat rookie Justise Winslow. Ever since the NBA draft concluded, the Jae Crowder squad had been speculated to be plotting ways to eventually acquire the young star. However, it looks like Winslow is content with the Dwyane Wade basketball team. Consequently, the Chris Bosh group appear to be happy to have him on board.

"I just heard rumors," shared Winslow, referring to the highly talked about interest of the Boston Celtics on signing him, according to Massachusetts Live. "But other than that, nah. They were trying to trade a lot of picks and stuff for me, but other than that, nah, not really any interaction."

Winslow noted, "I remember just the rumors after the draft, hearing what they were willing to give up. But I'm here (in Miami), so. I mean. I know the staff and some players a little bit, but that's about all the interaction."

While the idea of NBA teams actively seeking a contract with him is quite flattering for a young star, the Miami Heat is not going to give him up easily. Erik Spoelstra, head coach of the Hassan Whiteside squad, shared that the rookie is a valuable addition to the team. He added that Winslow exhibited a mature and highly developed attitude in terms of handling the pressure in the NBA.

"He's mature physically, mentally," revealed Spoelstra of Winslow. He added, "For somebody his age to come in and have an impact, he's a smart player. He's a competitor; I think that's probably the most underrated aspect of his game. He really competes, loves the competition part of it. He impacts the game on both sides. He's earned his minutes. He's continuing to learn the league, learn our system, learn what our culture's all about. Obviously we're thrilled that we were able to acquire him with the 10th pick."

Meanwhile, the Boston Celtics remain vocal on their appreciation of Winslow's talent. Brad Stevens, the head coach of the Marcus Smart squad, echoed Spoelstra's opinion of the rookie. In fact, the Boston Celtics coach also highlighted the competitive nature of Winslow as one of the NBA star's notable qualities.

"My opinion or my impression on Justise Winslow is he's a super-mature kid who's just going to get better and better," described Stevens. He further noted, "Winning's the most important thing to him, and he's got a high ceiling. I think he'll do well. He's shown that. I think you can see that whenever you have an organization like this that's at the caliber that they have been, and they're playing him at the end of games pretty consistently. That just tells you where he is emotionally."
