The Cleveland Cavaliers are reigning supreme in the East with a toss-up between Isaiah Thomas' Boston Celtics and the Toronto Raptors of DeaMar DeRozan to hopefully unseat LeBron James, Kyrie Irving and Kevin Love on top. While the West still has no clear champion in the Golden State Warriors, San Antonio Spurs and Houston Rockets, the Tristan Thompson team is said to be quietly looking for stars who can help them win a back-to-back NBA Finals championship. Will the latest addition be a Jeff Teague contract?

The Indiana Pacers and Jeff Teague had been quite vocal with their amenability to entertain trade offers. In fact, NBA trade rumors earlier this season linked the 28-year-old star to the New York Knicks. When these speculations were brought to his attention, the former Atlanta Hawks player eagerly complimented the Carmelo Anthony team. At this point though, it looks like another NBA team is looking more closely at the potential of a Jeff Teague contract in their roster.

Rumors are rife that the Cleveland Cavaliers are once again revisiting a potential Jeff Teague contract in their lineup. With the fear of injuries especially of Kevin Love and LeBron James, the Kyrie Irving team is anticipated to draw as many backup plans as possible. Fans believe that the Indiana Pacers star might just fit the bill.

Many feel that the LeBron James team aims to replicate the San Antonio Spurs in terms of managing stars. That is, the Cleveland Cavaliers are looking to add less flashy and loud stars opting to deal with those exhibiting quiet strength and strong leadership in the hardwood court and locker rooms. Will the addition of a Jeff Teague contract to their team push them closer to their goal?

"[A]fter victimizing Dennis Schroder, Patty Mills, and Goran Dragic in three of Indiana's last five games, it's become increasingly more difficult to ignore Jeff Teague's sneaky adeptness at drawing contact on jump shots," shared C. Cooper of SB Nation.

He added, "Teague doesn't adjust in mid-air like Jamal Crawford, pump fake like Dwyane Wade, lean in like Lou Williams, or bring the ball through defender's arms like Chris Paul, but what he may lack in artistry he makes up for with consistent savvy."

What do you think? Will a Jeff Teague contract be the next great move for the Cleveland Cavaliers in their quest to duplicate the success of the San Antonio Spurs? Will the Indiana Pacers star help LeBron James, Kyrie Irving and Kevin Love better dominate the league?
