It seems things are not going well between Dwayne Wade and the Miami Heat regarding their contract negotiations, which could lead to the free agent to sign with another team. Apparently, Wade's asking price is simply too high for Miami to handle.

Negotiations to re-sign Wade, who recently became a free agent, have been going on for some time now. For the Heat, they certainly would like to retain the 34-year-old athlete especially since he displayed impeccable consistency in the three-point area during the 2016 NBA Playoffs.

However, representatives of Wade have reportedly told Miami that their client will only consider re-signing with the team if he will get a two-year deal that's worth $50 million. This certainly leaves the Heat in a very tight spot due to their limited cap space, ESPN noted.

The team tried to match Wade's demand but came up short after offering $40 million. Apparently, this is still not enough for Wade and the low offer could be the last straw to push Wade to join another franchise.

For some time now, it has been rumored that Wade could reunite with former Miami teammate LeBron James by joining the Cleveland Cavaliers. However, like Miami, the Cavs are also facing certain financial issues especially since they have to pay over $50 million in luxury tax, according to Fox Sports.

In addition, giving Wade a $50 million contract would certainly throw off the Cavs' finances and put them over the $113 million cap limit.

So, if the Cavs and Heat don't have the money to pay Wade, then who does? Apparently, league sources claim that the Denver Nuggets have already made an offer to the free agent that's worth $50 million. There's no word yet if Wade will accept this but so far, the Nuggets are the only ones that were able to match his demand.

The Chicago Bulls are also reportedly interested in signing Wade and since they have more cap space than Miami, then they could also make an offer to acquire him. But for now, the Bulls are still monitoring the negotiations between Wade and other teams and have not yet made a move to sign him.

The Nuggets, on the other hand, have already presented their offer and are simply waiting for Wade's decision. If all goes well for the team, then Denver will most likely enter next season with Wade on the roster.
