The estranged husband of Keeping Up With The Kardashians star Khloe Kardashian, former NBA player Lamar Odom, managed to escape a near death experience in 2015. According to the latest reports on his drug binging weekend, reports are now confirming that former Los Angeles Clippers star also escaped the drug charges purportedly planned to be filed against him.

According to District Attorney Angela Bello, the information gathered in connection with the drug charges against Odom proved to be insufficient to convict him. She disclosed that the evidence presented failed to prove the NBA star's usage of drugs during his three-day stay in Nye County. With the lack of proof of the said charges, the sheriff's office's recommendation for felony counts was dismissed. Odom is no longer in danger of getting convicted for the unlawful use of cocaine or getting under the influence of a controlled substance.

Bello said via ESPN that it is "unlikely it could [be] established beyond a reasonable doubt he actually ingested, or was impaired by, the drug during the time he was within the jurisdiction of Nye County."

An unconscious Odom was found last year in a brothel in Las Vegas, Nevada. The news brought out a frantic Khloe in the said area, with Kylie Jenner, Kim Kardashian West and even Kylie Jenner tagging along. The days after the incident saw the reality star in the bedside of her estranged husband. Apart from looking after him, Khloe also disclosed that they will be halting their divorce proceedings.

This would have been understandable, but things soon took an awkward turn. Before the said drug and booze binging weekend of Odom, reports confirmed that Khloe has been romantically involved with James Harden. With the said dropping of the divorce proceedings and her subsequent actions for Odom, the Houston Rockets star is left in an uncomfortable position. However, Harden and Khloe still reportedly hold on to their romance.

With the recent developments, though, it remains to be seen if Harden can keep an open mind. According to Hollywood Life, the former Los Angeles Clippers star will be moving in Khloe's home upon his release from the hospital. This news came as a surprise as the reality star had been earlier reported to have moved Odom to a rehab facility.

"[One] reason Khloe decided to bring Lamar home was Rob," revealed a source to Hollywood Life. The insider added, "They need each other! Khloe knows that with the two of them under the same roof, they will both heal and use each other's energy and strength to get their lives on track. Rob's already making huge progress and is pitching in to help Lamar walk and helping him eat. They've been watching NBA games together and really bonding. That Khloe's literally turn her home into a sanctuary and healing center for Lamar and Rob. It's temporary. But it's the best decision she could have made."
