The Golden State Warriors are poised to have a better NBA season this year with the addition of Kevin Durant to the now super team of Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson and Draymond Green. However, it looks like LeBron James, Kyrie Irving and Kevin Love of the Cleveland Cavaliers should hold tighter to their championship trophy as another NBA All-Star is set to join the Western Conference title holders. The Andre Iguodala team is anticipated to seal a Ricky Rubio trade this NBA offseason.

The Minnesota Timberwolves are banking on younger basketball stars as they add Kris Dunn in the mix alongside Zach LaVine, Andrew Wiggins and Karl-Anthony Towns. Hence, it comes as no surprise that a Ricky Rubio trade might be in the works. The Spanish point guard, who had once been the face of the franchise, is said to be eased out of his roster spot by the budding NBA stars.

Although the Golden State Warriors are already brimming at the seams with NBA All-Star players, the Kevin Durant team has yet to turn away from another promising basketball leader who can better secure their chances of taking their title back from the clutches of the Cleveland Cavaliers. In fact, this kind of determination has been expected following their bitter Game 7 loss - a defeat that sort of invalidated their historic season when they broke the 72-win record of the Chicago Bulls under the Michael Jordan era.

Will a Ricky Rubio trade be able to seal the deal for the Golden State Warriors this NBA season? Will adding the Minnesota Timberwolves star be the secret weapon that could propel the Stephen Curry team into untouchable greatness? Will the 25-year-old Spanish star be the best support system for Kevin Durant, Klay Thompson and Draymond Green?

At this point, the answers remain uncertain. The parties involved in a potential Ricky Rubio trade have yet to officially comment on the matter. Moreover, the Golden State Warriors are focused on helping Kevin Durant get acclimatized to their system. Hence, the Ricky Rubio trade is still an NBA rumor at the moment.

In the meantime, the Minnesota Timberwolves star appears to be preparing himself to serve as a mentor to the young stars in their roster. As one of the veterans in the Kevin Garnett team, Ricky Rubio is delegated the leadership role to guide Kris Dunn, Karl-Anthony Towns and Zach LaVine.

"I think we've got all the pieces together to make something happen," shared Ricky Rubio. He added, "I'm really excited about the new coach and the new staff. They have a lot of years in their backpack and really can teach us how to reach the next level. I think we have the tools. We just have to put all them together."
