In the second round of the NBA playoffs 2016, the Golden State Warriors target to accomplish the same thing against the Portland Trail Blazers. With Curry expected to be back soon, will the Damian Lillard team stand a chance?

The Stephen Curry injury reports have been watched closely by the fans of the Golden State Warriors. With the San Antonio Spurs vs Oklahoma City Thunder playoff series heating up, the possibility of the Draymond Green squad losing the Western Conference crown becomes highly likely. If they do survive games against either the Kawhi Leonard team or the Kevin Durant squad, the possibility of facing LeBron James' Cleveland Cavaliers will become an impossible task with a Curry-less Golden State Warriors. Hence, the news of the MVP's potential return is a relief to fans of the NBA champions.

"It just depends on how this week goes," said Steve Kerr of the return of Curry for Game 3 of the Warriors vs Trail Blazers playoffs series. The head coach added, "It's nice to have that long break between (Games) 2 and 3. We'll probably take Wednesday off as a team, but he'll get his work in and then maybe Thursday, Friday, there's a chance we could get him on the floor in a scrimmage situation. But it's all speculation. So we don't really know. But that's the hope; that by the middle of next week we can get him back into more basketball-type movements."

Andrew Bogut echoes the same sentiments. According to the big man, the Golden State Warriors could not wait to have their "MVP back" on the hardwood court. Bogut, who plays as the sub for Draymond Green throughout the NBA season, has been in hot water recently. His issue came from the comments he made about Green whom the Australian player criticized in terms of scoring.

"He's not the best scorer, he's not the best shooter, but the things he does in every aspect of the game is what makes him one of the best," shared Bogut of Green. He added, " I said it yesterday and I'll stick to it -- I got some criticism for it -- but I think he's one of the best if not the best all-around players in the game. Honestly, I don't see a lot of superstars defending multiple possessions like he does or defending post-ups, grabbing rebounds, setting screens, being one of the smarter guys on the court and then still knocking down shots. He just knows how to play."
